Throughout the winter, I’ve been painting watercolours almost exclusively, which I've added to the gallery, as well as two or three new larger paintings now showing.
The new paintings continue my long series of seascapes I’ve been undertaking over the past few years, exploring light and movement in nature.
I’ve chosen to paint the winter sunset and the light conditions towards the end of the day from Lytham St Annes’s sandy beach and the Northumberland coast.
I’d like to introduce a new watercolour painting Twilight over the tide, based on sunset views over the sea at Lytham St Annes in Lancashire. You can see the colours are rich and varied within this painting, capturing the delightful colour, light and atmosphere of sunset over the open space of the sandy beach.
You may also notice some additional thumbnails added to my artwork pages in the gallery. They now show you how the artwork would look in an example interior. Hopefully this will give you an idea of what the fine art might look like on the wall and the qualities it has, the size etc.
I’ve chosen simple, modern interior images just as a guide and the picture frames are added digitally. I know sometimes it is difficult to imagine what the artwork might look like once it is finally up on your wall but hopefully this goes some way to helping with this.
