Broad, multi-directional brushstrokes of varying speed and texture create a strong sense of movement, while colour is used in an expressive way, with blues and purples contrasting with yellows and earth tones. The painting captures the changing conditions of a day at the coast rather than simply describing a particular view.
Painted in oils using professional Michael Harding and Williamsburg colours, including Naples Yellow and Ultramarine, on a Belle Arti gallery canvas from Italy. It is ready to hang as it is or to be framed, with white 4.3 cm deep edges.
